What super power do you wish you had and why?

There’s something terrifying about standing in front of a refrigerator at 2 a.m. Not because of ghosts. Not because of darkness. But because you open it hoping your life will magically improve… and the only thing staring back at you is leftover curry and expired ketchup. That’s when I realized something:

“If I could have any superpower in the world, I wouldn’t choose flying. Not invisibility. Not super strength. Not even time travel. I would choose the ability to manifest anything within a second.”

Not because I’m lazy. Okay, maybe slightly because I’m lazy. But mostly because human life feels like one long buffering screen.

-You want money? “Work for 20 years.”
-You want peace? “Detach from expectations.”
-You want six-pack abs? “Wake up at 5 a.m., drink green juice, and suffer.”

Why does every meaningful thing sound like a side quest designed by a sadistic game developer? Imagine how beautiful life would be if thoughts became reality instantly.

-You think of a burger. Boom. Burger.
-You think of confidence before entering a room. Boom. Confidence.
-You think of clear skin. Boom. No more looking like your face fought a civil war overnight.

Honestly, the first few days with this power would probably expose how unserious humans actually are. Half the population would manifest luxury cars. The other half would manifest revenge speeches they’ll never actually say. And me? I’d probably waste my first manifestation on unlimited money everyday. Because nobody becomes wise immediately after getting power. First comes stupidity. Then comes philosophy. But after the excitement fades, something strange would happen. You’d slowly stop manifesting things for pleasure… and start manifesting things for peace. Because humans don’t actually crave luxury as much as they think they do. “We crave relief.” The rich man wants sleep. The famous man wants privacy. The lonely man wants one real conversation. The overthinker wants silence. Every desire is secretly just pain wearing makeup. That’s the scary part about instant manifestation. It wouldn’t only reveal what we want. It would reveal who we are when there’s no delay between desire and reality. Right now, time protects us from ourselves. Some dreams die before they destroy us. Some impulses fade before they become mistakes. Some heartbreaks heal because reality refuses to move at the speed of emotion. Imagine manifesting every angry thought instantly. One bad mood and suddenly someone’s car explodes. One insecure moment and now your ex’s new boyfriend is mysteriously bald. Human beings are emotionally unstable creatures pretending to be spiritually evolved. That’s why maybe the universe doesn’t grant instant manifestation to everyone. Because most people don’t want freedom. They want emotional control over reality. And those are two very different things.

Still…

I think I’d choose this power anyway. Not for money. Not for fame. Not even for comfort. I’d choose it for one small reason nobody talks about enough:

“To give people hope immediately.”

Imagine manifesting food for someone hungry. A house for someone homeless. Medicine for someone who can’t afford treatment. A lot of suffering on Earth exists because help arrives too late. Maybe the greatest fantasy isn’t becoming powerful. Maybe it’s becoming useful fast enough. And honestly? That says a lot about humans.Even in our wildest dreams, after all the greed, ego, fantasies, and nonsense…somewhere deep inside, most of us still wish we could make life easier for someone we love. Maybe that’s the real superpower.

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
